About us

Beantown Softball League ● HomeAbout us

Beantown Softball League is the longest-running nonprofit LGBTQIA+ athletic organization serving the Greater Boston area. Founded to create a welcoming and affirming space for slow-pitch softball players of all identities and experience levels, the league offers structured competition, social connection, and community engagement opportunities throughout the season.

The league has two seasons: Spring (May-July) and Fall Ball (Sept-Oct). In the Spring, divisions are determined by the level of play (competitive, intermediate, recreational). In Fall Ball, teams are mixed with players of varying experience levels playing together. Players of all abilities find a fun and competitive home with us.

Our membership is co-ed consisting of players of all LGBTQIA+ identities and allies.

Our teams travel to the annual iPride Softball and ASANA World Series and affiliated tournaments across the country.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in Boston.

Our programs are designed to promote inclusion, teamwork, and personal well‑being while celebrating the diversity and vibrancy of Boston’s LGBTQ+ community. Whether stepping onto the field for the first time or returning as a seasoned player, every member is invited to contribute to a culture of respect, camaraderie, and pride.
